Realistic instead of exaggerated
No empty promises, but understandable goals, data and progress.
Athletic-AI is meant to connect nutrition, planning, shopping, pantry management and progress tracking in one meaningful system. The goal is not an overloaded tracker, but something that truly helps in everyday life.
Many apps show numbers and then leave users on their own. In real life, what is often missing is the connection between what you want to eat, what you need to buy, what you already have at home, and how all of that affects your progress and goals. That is exactly why Athletic-AI was created: an app that does not just track, but connects things in a useful way.
Athletic-AI is not only the app. The public website is meant to become its own fitness and nutrition hub: with easy-to-understand articles, practical recipes, calculators, tools and helpful content around nutrition, training, fat loss, muscle building and healthy routines.
Athletic-AI is being developed independently and expanded step by step alongside a regular job, with a strong focus on practical value, structure and everyday usability. Instead of promising as much as possible as quickly as possible, the goal is careful development: features should not just look good, but work together in real life.
My name is Dirk, I am 46 years old, and I am building Athletic-AI as an independent project from Germany.
After lung cancer at the age of 24, during which part of my left lung had to be removed, I am active in fitness again today â sometimes more, sometimes less intensely, but with real passion. I really started getting active in sports in 2016 with Taekwondo. During training, especially with strength-endurance efforts, I noticed that I quickly ran out of breath under load. This was one of the reasons why I later started running. Today, I do strength training, go running and, among other things, have taken part in Mud Masters every year since 2024. Especially in winter, I train less outdoors because I no longer tolerate cold air as well.
Over the years, I have tried many fitness and nutrition apps. I kept noticing the same thing: nutrition, recipes, pantry management, shopping, training and progress are often split across several apps. Many tools show numbers, but do not really help people keep an overview in everyday life.
That is exactly why I started building Athletic-AI: an app that connects these areas in a meaningful way and does not just track, but brings planning, everyday life and progress together.
I am developing Athletic-AI completely on my own and alongside my full-time job. Of course, that takes longer than it would for large companies â but every detail is built with real dedication. Many features come directly from real everyday situations and from problems that actually happen while tracking, cooking, shopping, training or trying to stay consistent long term.
My goal is to create an honest fitness and nutrition platform that makes everyday life easier: without ads, without distractions and without empty promises. Athletic-AI is not meant to look perfect â it is meant to help in practice, step by step.
No empty promises, but understandable goals, data and progress.
Nutrition should not be treated in isolation, but together with shopping, pantry logic and real-life usability.
The app should help create clarity and make everyday decisions easier.
New features are not added randomly, but based on real needs and practical problems.
Athletic-AI is actively being built and continuously expanded. Those who join early can not only follow the development, but also support it directly through a Founder subscription. The Founder subscription helps expand new features, content and integrations faster while giving early supporters a chance to be part of the project from the beginning.
